Below is a very simple and easy recipe for Soft Tofu and Red Chile that I have been making for years featuring Mori-Nu soft tofu and Kikkoman soy sauce and roasted sesame oil.
I found this recipe originally in one of my favorite cookbooks, A Little Taste of ... China, by Deh-Ta Hsiung and Nina Simonds and published by Murdoch Books. The book itself appears out of print, but it's still showing available on Amazon - this link will at least show you what the cover looks like!

Here is your recipe! Can't wait to hear what you think!
Soft Tofu with Chile
9 oz. soft tofu (Mori-Nu Tofu)
2 tablespoons soy sauce (Kikkoman)
2 scallions, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
2 fresh red chiles, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon roasted sesame oil (Kikkoman)
sesame seeds, for garnish
Cut the tofu into cubes and place on a heatproof plate.
Drizzle with soy sauce.
Sprinkle the scallions, cilantro and chiles on top.
Put the vegetable and sesame oils in a small saucepan and heat on the stovetop over medium-high until hot and smoking.
Carefully pour the hot oils over the tofu plate. Garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy immediately on its own or with a side of rice and steamed broccoli.

Hrs to believe my picky sons love tofu… but adverse to chili’s… what mild Asian chili would you recommend?!
Ps. First time watching you cook… loved it! You’ve inspired me to use more of my plates I’ve collected over the years from traveling!!
