Instant Pot Indian Book Launch and Livestream Cooking Class

It's time to launch! My new book 'Instant Pot Indian' is finally out and I know you know that because you've been with me on this journey. It took over a year to effectively test and write this cookbook. And, to thank all of you for sticking with me through this, I and my publisher are hosting a FREE Livestream class and Instant Pot tutorial. On April 29th at 10:30 am Chicago time no matter where you are in the world, you can click on this blog, on my Facebook page, Instagram, and other social channels and watch. My dear friend Hannah Stanley will moderate and we'll have raffles. In order to be entered to win, you must register! Please spread the word and let's make this a party! Click here or hover over the QR code in the graphic above to be entered! The prizes can only be shipped within the contiguous US states, but if you are overseas maybe you have a friend or family member that would love a little gift!

I wrote this cookbook - because I needed this cookbook! Full Indian flavor, clear instructions, and recipes for three main sizes of Instant Pots - 3, 6, and 8 quart. Why is this important? Because you may want to cook 1 cup of product for your family or 4 cups of product for a party and/or leftovers to freeze. One book should be able to give you clear recipes on how to do this. But how to do this so that it's easily understood? Early on in the writing process I sketched out a chart with ingredients in three color-coded columns corresponding to each respective size Instant Pot. This way, if you are making beans in a 3-quart Instant Pot you just go to one column for the ingredients. Right next to it is the column for 6 and then 8. It's so simple and so brilliant. But, it took some effort to actually create my vision on a page. That's where my fabulous publishing team came in. They suggested tightening up the intro to recipes so that we could make my chart concept work. And, it did! We worked on this for months and now you've got not only a cookbook but a tool that will help you get dinner on the table no matter the day of the week, the type of meal, or the number of guests.

I also clearly marked the amount of time each recipe takes to warm up, cook, and cool down and give you a total time. This is important because it helps you plan your meal. While Instant Pots and pressure cookers are not magic - they are indeed magical. Electric pressure cookers let you walk away from your meal and free you up to do other things instead of watching them cook on the stove. Overall, the Instant Pot will cook your meal faster -- thought it's just not going to appear on your plate without some amount of cooking.

Now, I just need all of you to buy this book! Why? Well, because it's the only way we authors get paid for our efforts. It one of the few if not only businesses where you put all the work in upfront and hope - just hope it works. Hop onto Amazon, go to your favorite bookseller like Barnes & Noble, support your local independent bookstore like Bookends & Beginnings in Evanston, IL and please support your favorite authors by simply buying their books. Most folks don't realize that we get paid twice a year - royalties (a tiny percentage) of each book sold. It takes a long time for that to add up -- and no, writing a cookbook is not instant riches. That's not why we do it. We do it because we absolutely love the process - I do it because I have to. I like to say my books write me.

Once you purchase, please share this link with friends and please please please if you have already tried my recipes add your comments/reviews to the Amazon page. Your five-star reviews help raise the visibility of books on Amazon and help determine its ranking, future success, and my ability to secure future writing projects. I need you as much as you need my cookbooks. We are a team!

So, thank you! You know how much I appreciate you and all of the support. Take a look at my Events page to see where I'll be for my book tour. And, if you have a favorite spot that would like to host an event, let us know in the comment section. Talk to them and then have them reach out to me!

xoxo Anupy

How many recipes are wholly new, as opposed to being essentially adapted from the slow-cooker book?

Congratulations Anupy for the launch of your new book. It takes a lot of hard work to reach where you are today. Your class is also very interesting.
